Associate Attorney
Alexis N. Darrow is an associate attorney at Shaw Bransford & Roth. Ms. Darrow
recently joined the law firm after completing a clerkship at the U.S. Civilian Board of
Contract Appeals. Prior to her clerkship and graduating from Penn State Law, University Park, Ms. Darrow worked to support U.S. agencies through her work in federal management consulting. Ms. Darrow is excited to use her agency and litigation experience to represent federal agencies and employees in civil and administrative litigation, government investigations, security clearance proceedings, and employee disciplinary actions.

Experience
Ms. Darrow joined Shaw Bransford & Roth in June 2025. Ms. Darrow brings litigation and extensive federal agency experience to the firm both through her work as a judicial law clerk and in federal management consulting. Before joining the firm, Ms. Darrow was a judicial law clerk at the U.S. Civilian Board of Contract Appeals (CBCA) where she primarily supported fourteen administrative law judges with disputes arising under the Contracts Disputes Act (CDA) between federal civilian agencies and government contractors. At the CBCA, Ms. Darrow assisted with cases pertaining to travel and relocation allocations for agency employees. Ms. Darrow is able to use her extensive agency knowledge acquired through her work in government contracts to represent federal employees in employment disputes and investigations.
Ms. Darrow obtained her EEO Investigator Certification pursuant to the EEOC’s training requirements and is qualified to conduct investigations for federal agencies and prepare reports of investigation for allegations of harassment/hostile work environment, discrimination, and retaliation for final agency review. With this certification, Ms. Darrow is qualified to draft Final Agency Decisions for EEO complaints as well.
Ms. Darrow also authors a regular column for the firm’s FEDmanager newsletter summarizing recent federal court opinions for a non-legal audience, on issues affecting the federal workforce.
Ms. Darrow attended Penn State Law, University Park on a full-tuition academic scholarship. While in law school, Ms. Darrow was the Editor-in-Chief of the Penn State Law Arbitration Law Review and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award, for the highest grade in the class, in Government Contracts Practice and Litigation. Ms. Darrow interned for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) both in the Division of Examinations, and the Division of Trading and Markets. Through her internships at the SEC, she was able to assist with examinations, draft deficiency letters, and understand regulatory drafting procedures and processes. Additionally, Ms. Darrow worked in Penn State Law’s Entrepreneur Assistance Clinic where she assisted entrepreneurs in entity formation, the drafting of corporate agreements, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Prior to law school, Ms. Darrow worked at Accenture both in its commercial and federal practices. At Accenture Federal, Ms. Darrow was initially immersed in government contracting and federal employment matters when she helped develop and train over 600 federal employees on an Accenture-developed enterprise software solution that focused on employee hiring, onboarding, and acquisition management. Ms. Darrow also served as a daily liaison to federal agency Division Chiefs to assist with the software solution’s implementation.
Ms. Darrow graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and earned a B.A. in Government with minors in Business and Communications. During her undergrad, Ms. Darrow served as a Judicial Intern at the U.S. Supreme Court in the Office of the Counselor to the Chief Justice and a Public Policy Intern at Squire Patton Boggs LLP.
