Labor unions were relatively quiet when it was only the rights of senior executives being sliced. Now it’s spreading across the VA. If it is “one of the most significant pieces of civil service reform in recent history,” why would Congress stop with one agency?
“A cadre of members of Congress” are intent on undermining due process for government workers, said Debra Roth, general counsel for the Senior Executives Association. “It’s starting at the VA” as a test case “to see if they can get it government wide.”
