How to Leave your Federal Career Legally

Debra Roth, partner at Shaw Bransford & Roth P.C., a federal employment law firm based in Washington D.C., was interviewed on Federal News Radio on October 15, 2009, to discuss how federal employees can legally leave their federal careers. The interview is available here.

Excerpt: A grand jury subpoena has been issued to former Interior Secretary Gale Norton. The grand jury is looking into whether Norton broke conflict of interest rules when the Interior Department granted oil shale leases to the Royal Dutch Shell company which later hired Norton. Debra Roth is a partner at Shaw, Bransford, and Roth. She joins us for our weekly Legal Loop segment to discuss what federal employees need to know when making the jump from government to the private sector.
